Powder Blushes

A powder blush is a cheek color with a silky, compact texture that is applied with a brush over skin that has already been powdered or mattified, unlike a cream blush, which melts directly into the skin and can be applied with the fingertips. Le Rouge Français offers its own highly pigmented formula made with plant-based pigments, available in three shades—310. Théodora, 320. Mélisende and 330. Catherine—for intense color from the very first application. It should not be confused with compact powder, which is designed to even out and mattify the complexion rather than enhance the cheeks.

A powder blush blends easily and is particularly well suited to oily or combination skin for longer-lasting wear, while a cream blush melts into the skin and is better suited to dry or mature skin for a natural, luminous finish. Le Rouge Français powder blush, however, is formulated to suit all skin types and offers excellent staying power.

Le Rouge Français powder blush is applied after preparing and evening out the complexion, for example with a complexion fluid. Using the integrated kabuki brush or the 811 Dual-Fibre Powder Brush, pick up a small amount of powder, tapping the brush to control the amount and remove any excess. Apply in circular motions to the high points of the face, such as the cheekbones.

For a more intense result, gradually build the color with light layers until you achieve your desired finish, from natural to more sophisticated.
