THE TINTING PIGMENT

Madder . Rubia Tinctorum

A characteristic dye plant cultivated particularly in Charente-Maritime, madder draws a deep, velvety, almost carmine red from its rhizomes. Used since antiquity to enhance precious fabrics, French dresses and tapestries, it embodies an exceptional chromatic heritage.
Rich in natural dye molecules with antioxidant properties, madder root not only offers a noble and vibrant intensity: it gives the color a lively, protective, and resolutely signature dimension.

Pantone: bright red to deep pink

Properties: antioxidant. anti-inflammatory. soothing.

SKINCARE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

The tinted balm can be applied with a finger for a natural finish, or with a lip brush for more precise application.
Take a small amount and apply directly to your lips, starting from the center outwards. Gently pat or press your lips together to set the color.
Its customizable coverage adapts to your style and preferences. A single swipe is enough for subtly tinted lips, creating a "bitten lips" effect. For a more intense result, apply multiple layers until you achieve your desired finish.
Its touch of color enhances the natural shade of your lips and beautifies their radiance for a luminous finish, from natural to sophisticated.

THE PROMISE OF EXCELLENCE

WHAT IS PLANT-BASED COLOUR? +
Le Rouge Français stands out as a world pioneer in the use of plant-based pigments to colour its makeup products. We draw from a rich library of hundreds of dye plants, selected for their unique coloring qualities and biological benefits. Examples include madder, sorghum, indigo, Corsican chestnut, and Damask rose. These plants are endemic to preserve biodiversity and the local economy of the regions where they are cultivated.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH TITANIUM DIOXIDE? +
Titanium dioxide, or TiO2, is still permitted as a cosmetic ingredient in its micro-particle form – particle size larger than nano-particle. Titanium dioxide has been banned from the food industry since January 1, 2020, due to a proven carcinogenic risk. As women ingest an average of 4 kg of lipstick in a lifetime, we have chosen to remove it from all our formulas to guarantee you absolute safety.
WHAT DOES ECOCERT ORGANIC CERTIFICATION OFFER ME? +
ECOCERT certification is currently the most demanding international cosmetic certification, going far beyond the blacklists established directly by brands or distributors. It controls the perfect traceability of products and restricts the use of many ingredients harmful to your health or the environment. It guarantees that the manufacturer's formulas are natural or organic and that eco-packaging is fully recyclable. ECOCERT certification is renewed annually after an internal audit.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF YOUR PRODUCTS? +
All our products are formulated with oils, butters, waxes, and other organic ingredients with natural active compounds. They help moisturize and protect your skin daily. We also incorporate other natural active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, which restores volume and tone, and probiotics, which maintain skin balance.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A TINTED BALM? +
Easy to apply, the tinted balm blends naturally and can be diffused for a natural, effortless look. It highlights the lips without making a statement, bringing a delicate glow and a spontaneous bitten-lips effect. The tinted balm is therefore the perfect ally for those who are looking for a discreet touch of color and a feeling of comfort, without the structured effect of a lipstick.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A TINTED BALM AND A LIPSTICK? +
Tinted balm provides a softer, more natural finish than lipstick, which is generally more pigmented. It adds color without outlining the lips, and can be easily applied with a finger for a blurred effect or with a brush for more precision. Lipstick, on the other hand, defines the lips more and requires more careful application for a clean line.
